I've been pretty sick and tired of Michael Jackson as well. Nothing but Michael Jackson, 24/7. I didn't even bother with that memorial.

Then something happened this morning. The alleged autopsy report about his condition piqued my interest and I found myself thinking about him and developing more compassion for the guy. If the autopsy report is true, then he was more of a broken man than I thought. Some clips of the kids got me thinking about them as well. He did seem like a good dad to them.

Finally people who feel the way I do.

He was screwed by his parents early on and never recovered. Though that gets him my pity and I enjoyed his music, he's just another celebrity death.

Ummm, no. You didn't hear this is the first of 13 world wide rehearsals to be held over the next 5 years for when he does actually beat it?

Yeah...look. He was a famous person. He dies, it gets publicized--fine by me.

But to make the NEWS cycle, WEEK after looooooooooooong WEEK, ALL ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON--OVER and OVER and OVER....

    :scream:ENOUGH ALREADY!!!:scream:

HE'S DEAD--GET THE HECK OVER IT!!!

It's not the end of the world, for cryin' out loud. Yeah, he was an awesome artist. Yeah, he did a lot of awesome things for charity. YEAH, he was a child prodigy--

BUT...SURELY that isn't the only major news story out there--and yet, the press sure as heck seems to think it is!!!

(With the possible exception of Billy Mays's death--but AGAIN....)

We feel the pain of his passing. And we should morn for him. But we should also, above all else, move on.

    This...rant...is now...over.

    (Phew....)

I agree also about Farrah Fawcett. She seemed to be pushed aside..she did a lot more with charity than MJ ever did, IMO. It's like she's not important enough anymore to remember. :( That's sickening!
I also only watched about five minutes of the memorial..and when I did there was this little 12 year old English boy singing one of MJ's older songs from the Jackson 5(I think this was the same boy that Simon Cowell found in England when he was doing a show over there for talented kids) and that kid had TALENT! I almost was in tears cause he sang that song beautifully.
I do get that MJ is dead..but do they have to talk about it nonstop for a million months?? Yes he was a great artist..but he is dead..let's move on to more important things..like..erhm..*cough* our economy *cough* :D
