Sequel/Transformers 2: we're in trouble

I have only seen the trailer -- is this sarcasm?
I hope so, because that is certainly NOT an accurate description of the movie. The fight scenes were EPIC and they were most definitely not offscreen. I only recall all of two scenes where Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox were staring at each other... and they both fit what was happening in the movie.

Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of the movie (I give it a C+), but it gets an A+ for the action and FX. I agree that the battles were EPIC especially the opening scene and the forest scene.

I have to agree too with the gentlemen.
The movie was not a good one, but the robots and the battles were surely the best part.
And personally, I had no problem following the action and what was going on or see who is the Autobot and who the Decepticon.

Transformers is basically a movie about alien robots beating the shit out of each other

Finally someone says it, especailly after all that complaining that this isn't some deep intellectual movie. I mean what is so hard to understand about that basic concept people?
]

Yes but I understand that you can't even discern who is beating the shit out of whom...so how is that fun...and *cough* "entertaining" ?

I was able to see who is beating who just fine.

And yes I thought the movie was crap.
The robot fighting though I enjoyed very much. It was about the only part I enjoyed.

^^^ And the last 40 mins or so of the movie for you was just fine then?

Not really to be honest.
As I said in the relevant thread about the movie, it was at least 50 minutes too long. Maybe more.
About an hour and a half into it I started getting bored.
Maybe if the robot fighting was closer together time-wise ....

In any case, the last 40 minutes were more human military fighting than robot fighting.

I just read the MSNBC report.

Not a word about the NuTrek film as a comparison.

While NuTrek is important to the posters here, it was never going to be the all time blockbuster that was anticipated.

The dust from Transfomers has hidden your flick.

Then you didn't read the entire article as later, in the article, it mentions Star Trek and other films:

With a $13 million weekend, Disney and Pixar Animation’s “Up” became the year’s top-grossing film domestically at $250.2 million. It surpassed Paramount’s “Star Trek,” which did $3.6 million over the weekend to hit a $246.2 million total.

Thank you for being honest. 50 minutes too long...well that's a lot of time isn't it? I'd be completely dissatisfied if I went to movie that although I would of liked...I was getting bored with...that's not a good thing to say about the movie...so perhaps you should say...I liked just the robot fight scenes...everything else in it sucked. :p

Um, that's what I pretty much said already a few posts up :p

I quote myself:
