What is Lucas up to?

Wasn't Lucas planning to do a movie about World War II fighter pilots years ago ? Might be good for him to make a movie where he's not, erm, violating anyone's childhood.

The digitaly remastered completely CGI Howard the Duck is nearly with us. Kneel before the power of the Duck!

"Red Tails" (The Tuskegee airmen movie) is apparentally in production. Lucas is only plotting and producing, but then again that didn't work too well for Indiana Jones.

As for the Star Wars panel....well, the blu-ray of Clone Wars season 1 is already announced, they've already done a great deal of The Old Republic stuff, so it's possible they'll be doing a blu-ray release announcement.

It's possible, I think, that they'll announce both the Star Wars and Indiana Jones blu-rays, since Indy requires less restoration work, and (hopefully) no added FX.

My money is that Lucas will announce that he has joined forces with CBS Studios to produce the next Star Trek series and put his own stamp on the franchise.

The Enterprise-H will be commanded by Captain Jar-Jar "Meesa Bombad" Binks...

Star Wars Spectacular! - July 25th at 2 p.m.

Here are my guesses
1. Clips form the new action TV show
2. Announce the 3D movies are ready getting ready, hand out glass's and show a clip
3. Episodes 7,8,9 are a go
4. Blu-ray for the Star Wars movies
I agree with #'s 1,2,4.
Also I think we'll see clips from season 2's first episode premiering on Cartoon Network October 2, 2009 in its original aspect ratio 2.35:1.
The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network is shown in a 16:9 (1.78:1) aspect ratio, cropped from its original aspect ratio (OAR) of 2.35:1

and I think the "Untitled Star Wars TV Series" will become officially titled.

What channel is "G4"? Is this a British thing, or some high-pay cable channel?
G4 is an American cable channel devoted to video games and other tech stuff. They used to show Max Headroom reruns. Or maybe that was TechTV. The two channels merged a few years ago, which is why I can't keep them separate in my mind.

was a managerial decision to decrease G4's emphasis on video game coverage, in favor of a shift toward a male general interest programming format]. The programming format mostly consists of syndicated material.

The merger and the attempt at male-oriented appeal caused negative reaction on the fanbase's end.

many saw this as G4's ongoing attempt to be a competitor to other male-oriented networks such as Spike, thus losing any unique identity.

I'm sure WWII buffs will somehow feel violated when a digitally inserted Indiana Jones can be seen running in the background and when we see the slightest hint of a Star Destroyer hovering above Germany. ;)

Win.

Which will be aptly named Star Wars: The Untitled Series. :p

<uber-geek> He's going to announce the long rumored remake off the original trilogy or the CGI remake off all the movies </uber-geek>

Hopefully Lucas will give us the low down on the live action show.

It's Lucas, I respect the man's work and love Star Wars, but come one asking him for clarification or real details is a bit much given his track record of chaning his tune to whatever his whim is at the moment.

Have they even started shooting the series yet?

I can't believe anyone has an ounce of interest, or truse, in anything Lucas has to say after the three abortions he gave us in the form of the PT.

As far as I know, Lucasfilm has not even nailed down the concept for the live action series yet. They definitely have not done any casting or filming yet. The never-before-seen footage could be from Clone Wars Season Two, and the "surprise" announcement/breaking news is most likely Celebration V in American City XYZ.

He's going to announce the movie "Calrissian," starring Jamie Foxx and directed by Michael Bay.
