"Human Nature" was always my favourite MJ song.
Very sad. I always liked "Rock With You." and "Beat It'.
Now he's in a coma. Apparently.
CNN just reported he's in a coma.
CNN Reporting that it was a cardiac arrest. No news yet on if he died or not.
LA Times is calling it as official now.
BBC is often ultra-conservative in reporting news, waiting until cast-iron confirmation. They can sometimes be more authoritative, but often are less responsive, than other news organisations as a result of this understandable editorial position. For breaking news, the internet is much much faster than the BBC, as we're seeing in this thread, though of course potentially less accurate.
Still, they actually interrupted Newsnight (serious BBC news discussion programme after the nightly news bulletin) to bring us those "unconfirmed reports", which indicates to me that the BBC believes them to be completely accurate despite the lack of confirmation. They don't interrupt like that for nothing.
The coma thing - it could well be that they're keeping him going artifically until all the family are gathered to say their goodbyes. I hear Janet is on tour, so they might wait to fly her back in.
I haven't had my tv on all week, but I'm going to have to take a look at how the channels are reporting this now. It doesn't feel right getting this information through text only somehow...

Yeah, CNN's calling it now. Of course, they've probably been sitting on that information for a little while, possibly to give family time to get there.

MJ stopped being relevent in my eyes years ago, his music went from being something I enjoyed to meh. Then with his... issues... it got to be so I couldn't listen to Thriller in public without someone shitting on me for liking the Foul Pervert.
Whatever. If it is meant to be, I hope he has a speedy recovery and gets back to doing what he does. On the other hand, if it is his time I hope it is mostly painless and he is surrounded by friends and well-wishers.
