"Formal e-mail" is a true oxymoron.

Fishes sounds stupid, but it makes sense; it may happen. The plural of ox is oxen, so no.The continuing lowering of literacy standards is pretty alarming. That said, "forums" doesn't bother me. English isn't Latin and -s is a correct way of forming a plural; I'm good with both "fora" and "forums."
What about fishes? oxes?
Why would it?When does "gooder" and "goodest" become okay?
I know. It rejects "RJDiogenes," too.Back to the fora/forums thing, fine, you are welcome to your opinion, but surely you agree that it borders on insane that spell check would REJECT "fora".

It does accept Camelopardalis, though. And "camelopard."![]()
^^ Shouldn't that be "olderer?"![]()
And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

I would not treat it as standard either, since the King James Bible is filled with language that is nowhere close to being accepted as standard today. I'm simply pointing out that "fishes" is not a new corruption introduced by modern casual speakers (and no one said it was either; I just felt like pointing it out). The King James Bible is written as an epic poem, given poetic license, I'm not sure I'd use it as the standard.
By the way, the spell-checker rejects "millennia".
Well, being a Canon Champion, I'm not going to argue. It's just that it would be a canon violation to put that in the image when it's not in the scene...
What about, "If wishes were fishes, we'd all cast our lines?"The King James Bible is written as an epic poem, given poetic license, I'm not sure I'd use it as the standard.
