Phase II or the TOS movies?

The Ralph McQuarrie design was for Planet Of The Titans. The Phase II Enterprise looked a lot like the TMP one.

The Ralph McQuarrie design was for Planet Of The Titans. The Phase II Enterprise looked a lot like the TMP one.

I know. But McQarrie's paintings were printed in Starlog magazine around the time the rumours for Phase II were circulated.

I, for one, prefer the TMP refit design to the Phase II version. The Phase II version looks somewhat ungainly in my eyes and lacks grace.
