9 The Movie. Tim Burtons next animated project

Okay, I'm about four Guinnesses deep, so I could be wrong. I used to hold my liquor better than this, but I lost a lot of weight... Anyway, here's what I got.

The world is destroyed. This thing created nine creatures. They are scavengers. Two of them scavenge a light bulb. And a creature kills one. The other one, Nine, fights the creature. Wins.

Then we find out all died. And, also, their souls were in this ball thing. I'm going to watch it again when i sober up.

Yeah. But what's it about? What did all of that mean? Sure, it looked cool, but why did I spend 10 minutes watching that? Was there a theme? A character arc? A message? Anything? Bueller? Bueller?

Don't think there is anything more to it. Which is a shame, actually. It's less of a movie and more of a promo....

The second trailer is a little more coherent as far as what to expect from the story. I think if nothing else, it looks like rich eye candy, and gets points from me for originality.

9 Trailer - scroll down a bit for the trailer

Saw the trailer when I saw STXI. It was pretty weird, but I thought after seeing it that Burton might be laying off the creepy nonsense for once. But it's not him after all, I guess.

Looks like a fantasy/steampunkish version of Wall-E. I didn't see Wall-E, but you know, by the previews and all.

Wow what is this? 'Repressed hostilty weekend'?

I just posted a link to a trailer I thought looked interesting.
