Since it hasn't, here's the word: the "Facts about Captain Robau" thread was a parody, subject to the forum policy put in place back in 2007 to address the then-current problem of parody and joke threads proliferating to the point where they were getting out of hand. There have now been eight spinoff/copycat parodies of the Robau parody thread, and that's counting only the ones with "facts about" in the title.
Too many. Too much proliferation. When we get to "Facts about the Kelvin" and (following immediately upon the closure of the Uhura thread for getting raunchy enough that I received complaints) then a "Facts about Gaila" thread which was almost guaranteed to go the same way as the Uhura thread (and yes, Plecostomus, I know perfectly well that your post above is a chickenshit way of busting my chops in public about closing that one, but seriously - did you really expect a different outcome?) then it's gone too far.
You guys got greedy, and nine spam threads all on the same model is too much. If you can't apply some self-restraint, then I'm put in the position of having to apply restraint for you. This one's closed, and any of the others to get bumped will see the same thing happen.
Oh, and new spinoffs? Not a good idea.
