Saturday Night Quiz

An easy one:

I have written down the names of two countries on a piece of paper.

No letter appears more than once on that paper.

One of the names is Italy, what is the other one?

As usual, please PM me your answer. I'll post the solution tomorrow.

Isn't that wrong?

Italy's official name, in English, is the Italian Republic (3 'i', 2 'a', 2 'L', ); or in Italian, Repubblica Italiana?

"Hey, I'm going on vacation!"
"Oh yeah? Where?"
"The Italian Republic"

Because THAT conversation would happen.

Italian Republic, is still the official name. A loop hole, but I think it's a good one.

Great quiz Nick, now if only I'd thought about the instructions a little harder, I would have gotten it first time around ;)

I was just about to give up and read through the Wiki list of countries - so thanks for posting the answer!

I'm ashamed I didn't think of Peru, I'm a big fan of Paddington.

Peru came very quickly to me (maybe fifteen seconds). Just concentrated on the unused vowels.

How about some quick, easy ones while waiting for another teaser? A few are classic oldies, but some of the younger folks might not know them. Don't PM me. Just toss out the answers.

^^ Y'know, I had a vague notion of something like that. I'm kind of proud of myself, since there's a hole in brain where the math should be.
