An easy one:

I have written down the names of two countries on a piece of paper.

No letter appears more than once on that paper.

One of the names is Italy, what is the other one?

As usual, please PM me your answer. I'll post the solution tomorrow.

^^ Nick has an email address in his contact info; perhaps he'll accept a guess by that route.

I do see several possibilities, so there's an element of chance in this one....

Oops. Must pay closer attention to the rules. :rommie:

I am now on guess number two....

Slow on the uptake again, RJ? Well, you got it the second time :-p

And, yes it does have to be spelled correctly.

Isn't that wrong?

Italy's official name, in English, is the Italian Republic (3 'i', 2 'a', 2 'L', ); or in Italian, Repubblica Italiana?

Edited to add: France (the French Republic in French:République française ) and Turkey (Republic of Turkey in Turkish: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti) also fail to meet the requirements.

Edited again: Unless it's a trick question.

Edited yet again. Italy would still be wrong.
