Star Trek is about 150-300 years in the future, in the Milky Way (most of the time).

Robau could easily time travel to "long ago" and engineer a ship fast enough to travel to a Galaxy "far, far away".

Robau was there before Mitchell, and some of Robau's Badass Field (BF) was absorbed by the energy barrier- just some surplus BF Robau didn't need.
