I took the neighbor lady one afternoon; wouldn't have pegged her for a fan, but she thought it was great.

We've been eight times so far. My husband is a good guy; he's a Wars fan to boot.

I know an 83-year-old stroke victim who got into her theater for free because of her age and condition and LOVED IT. Even the sick and elderly dig this movie!:bolian:

I've seen it twice. Had to go back for an IMAX viewing( note: was good, but oh the shaky cam...)

Can't remember the last time I've seen a movie in the theater more than once.

I'm sure the haters will say that only 83-year-old stroke victims can appreciate this movie.

Yes, at the premiere I was sitting with two oldest trekkies in my country, well, apart from some comments during the showing, they were squealing like teenagers after the movie :guffaw:

I feel like I helped contribute. I brought 14 of my non trek fan friends and all but 2 of them have seen it at least once more...

Yeah!

Re: Star Trek #1 - $3.12 M Wednesday - $159 M domestic - $233 M worldw

My wife and I might take our daughter back for a second screening this weekend. I think the last time I went to see a Star Trek movie twice on the big screen, was 1982 with "Wrath of Khan."

Clearly, the new film is exceeding all expectations. Frankly, I was a huge doubter when I heard about the project in 2006. As in, I was prepared to dislike it from the get-go. But I had a heart-to-heart with myself when I saw the first trailer last year. I asked myself why I was being such a curmudgeon? I couldn't come up with any good answers.

Anyway, I hope Trek 2009 has a very solid Holiday weekend. I am sure T4 will be king, but I bet Trek will be #2 because while T4 is very violent and not exactly a family-friendly film, Trek is decidedly positive, is family friendly, and for those seeking a fun, thrilling pick-me-up, Trek is their movie.

Yay Trek 2009!

BOLDLY GO..... TO THE BANK!

Wonder if there will be a substantial drop today and tonight as T4 sucks all viewers into the theater...

And tomorrow when NatM2 opens....

Crossing fingers!

It will be over $30 Million for the 4-day.

She said $36 million last week and it ended up at $43... The week before she said $65 Million and it ended with $79 Million....

I don't know. I just got back from a 12:30 pm showing of T4 and it was pretty packed, more than when I watched Wolverine on opening day.
