Yeah, this isn't the 70s or 80s and the old STAR WARS glasses anymore. Most fast food premiums end up worth being little more than squat. Except the 1999 PIZZA HUT Yoda 8-ball fortune teller. That thing is still heavily sought after by collectors in some quarters.
 
Burger King collectable glasses review

I recently got hold of all 4 of the Burger King Star Trek collectable glasses. To keep them looking nice, I'm not taken them out of their plastic bags.

I gotta say, this is some pretty nice looking glassware. Each one has a different character from the movie on them as well as an image of the four main ships.

The four glasses include: Kirk and the Enterprise, Young Spock - Spock Prime and the Jellyfish, Nero and the Narada, and Uhura with the Enterprise (which confused me since the box it came in has the Kelvin on it.)

But what really impressed me was each glass has etched images of mutiple views of that glasses particular ship, like multiple angles on blueprints. All in all, a very nice collectable to add to my ever growing Star Trek collection.:bolian:

I got 'em too. you save a buck or two if you buy all four at once. Really a nice deal, no reason for a Trek fan not to get them, and enjoy them (unless you abhor BK).

I got the Nero one. Went to my nearest BK and said, "Got anymore of the Star Trek glasses?"

Counter guy, in a tone of voice that suggested meh-ness, "Just Nero."

I'm going to try a couple other BKs to get the other glasses. If not, EBay I go!

I bought the Kirk one and decided to go back later in the week for the other three. They wouldn't sell me all three unless I bought 3 value meals, so I settled for one (Spock). I asked the lady at the window if they were popular, and she said that they were indeed quite popular - particularly the Spock glasses. I guess I need to go back for the other two (okay three, because...<mutters under breath> I took the Kirk glass out of the original packaging <slinks away quickly>).

Earlier today I saw someone on ebay trying to sell all four for 20 dollars... when they are 2 bucks each with a value meal or 7 for all four at once... :wtf:

If you can get the entire set though I recommend you do it quickly. A lot of the Burger Kings are refusing to order additional sets of the glassware because they're afraid of getting stuck with them.

Picked up a set of four with the purchase of one value meal a couple of weeks ago. Pulled up to the drive thru, and asked if they had a set of four available, the girl said they did, so I bought 'em all at once to save a dollar.

Haven't taken the plastic off 'em yet...and yeah, I wish that the Kelvin had been on the Kirk glass instead of gettin' two Enterprises (one with Kirk, one with Uhura).

Ended up cracking the bottom of a Kirk glass putting ice in it from the dispenser. Damnit.

Still have two of each. One set to use, one to save. :techman:

I have about 3 Burger Kings I go to that are nearby.
The thing is that at least 2 of them always say the same thing when I ask what toys they have. They take out just one and I ask "Is that the only one that you have?" and every time they say "Yup, just that".

And that's been from the beginning of the offer.

However, there is another BK that I go to and I always ask and they are very willing to look through many bags and put them on the counter. Even one they went into the back and brought out a few more.

Guess which one I go to the most?

So a few questions arise.

1. Does the BK's receive all of the toys right away from the start?
A. If so, are they instructed to issue them in waves or all at once?

2. Does anyone know when this offer ends?

I CANNOT BELIEVE they made you buy food! Not one of the BK's I've went to...about 5 different ones.... have made me buy food!!
I have every toy I want except prime spock and Chekov...the scotty & bones ones are pretty funny, they use the actual lines from the movie so they're entertaining. I decided to get a spock and kirk glass for use...they are a nice size and goes with my Spock mug quite nicely.....then I'll have to get two more for my brother...do I save that for X-mas or just give in and give it to him? But you must be diligent in your quest for any toys/glasses/promo items that you desire, this is going to be over before we know it.

Very cheaply made. I was disappointed with the printing quality.

^Whaddya expect.

It's a mass fast food chain. They'd have to charge a lot more than $1.99 a glass if the printing and pictures were top-notch quality transfers.
