What happens when all the regenerations are up? Just a thought.

I think something will happen that will allow the Doctor to keep regenerating and he will have to live with the idea that the next time he might not regenerate. If not he could become like Captain Jack/Face of Boe and live forever.
Or the powers that be could be really bold and let him actually die and maybe have Jenny (Doctor's Daughter) or someone else take over the title of The Doctor.
Depends on the ratings, I guess.
If DW is still successful... he'll regenerate.
at that stage will he even be recongiseable as the Doctor? I mean in how he acts not his looksNah, I figure that'll be alt-Doctor that's on Peter's world. Something will jump start his timelord DNA and he'll start regenerating and come back even more pissed off due to have to live after Rose is dead.
as long as they explain it, or spend the next season explaining it (in Lost fashion) then it should be okWhatever happens, it won't be this:
"Dammit! We've reached the regeneration limit! Whatever will we do?"
"Hmmm....looks like this is the end for our flagship show that's a hit all over the world and a fecking huge money spinner to boot...."
"Yeah....let's just not make any more. Wouldn't want to piss off the purists...."

Should be "Hmm, that's not supposed to happen" and just move on.Ugggggggh. I hope they don't dwell on it too much.
Depends on how obessed he [Dr2] is with his origin. I can see him either going really pissed off and resentful that he got dumped on some backwater world, or going with trying to crave out an identity for himself and for various reasons feeling like he's stuck in the shadow of the original.at that stage will he even be recongiseable as the Doctor? Yearrragh, I remember those debates. Problem is, given the basic premise of the who-verse, it could work, but it'd take a lot of retconning in spots.Of course, there are some people who would argue that the Fourth Doctor was actually the Thirteenth Doctor (and that the Morbius Doctors are indeed pre-Hartnell Doctors), which is why the Watcher was needed to regenerate him, and that therefore the question was already answered.
And then there are those who think that the Fifth Doctor's wonder about not regenerating was due not to the poison, but because he was the the Thirteenth Doctor, and again, the question is answered.
I agree with neither of those points of view, but I wanted to include them for the sake of completion. And argument.![]()
