The Cape

Adam Baldwin in space before Firefly? How'd I miss this one?

Actually, I do vaguely remember this. I kept meaning to watch it, but it went belly up before I ever got around to it. A shame, because most MTM shows were really good.

I liked The Cape. The female lead was Bobbie Phillips, whom many of you might remember as the sexy entomologist Bambi in the X-Files episode "War of the Coprophages." She helped Mulder solve the mystery of menacing cockroaches.

She was also the lead in Black Scorpion and was a female spirit of vengance in an episode of The Crow: Stairway To Heaven.

She was also in Showgirls. :alienblush:

Joan Severance was the first Black Scorpion in a TV film. For the TV series that came later, Black Scorpion was played by some other actress but not Bobbie Phillips.

The Cape was a Sunday afternoon show here. I really liked it. Had a SF edge while being based on a real place and real events.

I liked what I saw of it. And it has a kick-ass theme!

It's companion show (at least in my market), "Pensecola: Wings of Gold" was pretty good too.

I liked it, but I think they buried it in the middle of the night here (and I'm not sure if they showed it in order)

I keep hoping for them to release it on dvd:)

Amen, it's great to hear it again after so many years. Astounding that Sci Fi never bought reruns to it...all the other syndicated shows from the era wound up there...

Same here. They ran back to back for the year The Cape was on.

Yer right. Bobbie Phillips was in some other leather clad hottie vancouver sci fi series. Can't remember the name though.

I watched The Cape strictly for Bobbie Phillips' jogging scenes. The rest of the show was crap. But Bobbie is one of my favorite hotties.

She starred in 2 UPN Friday night sci fi movies...I think they were called Chameleon (with the second bearing a subtitle)...she was a genetically engineered super agent or something, in a futuristic world where her co workers didn't like having her around in the first, and the second, chasing after someone trying to create a black hole. .

I think I've got all of this series on VHS back at my mum and dad's house. One of these days I really should go through them and get some converted to DVD.
