Overlooked diamond. This episode is in the top 10 of best written DS9 and brought to life by RA and MA. Brooks' limited role in this seems wooden and minor league (compared to the heavy hitters).

The way the present and the past were so seamlessly interwoven is amazing. 1 phaser blast, no fights, no disruptors arrays-just good writing and a good plot.

Fabulous episode. I love Odo's sarcastic log entries, and I love getting a glimpse into his role during the Occupation. The scene at the end when Kira is in Odo's office and she asks if Odo can ever trust her again is amazing.

100% agreed. this is a brilliant episode. i always loved the opening shot of the flashback sequence, where the door to the shop is opened, when odo is presented to dukat, that is one of the coolest shots in the entire series.
