The Photoshop Thread, Part IV

Harkening back to TOS, most people probably don't know that it was actor Sean Kenney who played the wheelchair bound Captain Pike in "The Menagerie". Later, he was to appear in "Arena" as navigator Lt. DePaul. If Pike hadn't suffered any facial damage from the bertol rays, he might have looked like this:

An FYI, I met Sean Kenney at a convention a few years ago. Very nice man. Anyway, he had a beard, longer hair, and was, of course, much older. Well, he had a picture of Jeffrey Hunter from a movie he had done (I think it was King of Kings.) Hunter looked then, with the makeup from that film, a LOT like Kenney does today. Their choice of recasting for The Menagerie really was right on the target.

These are all just so wonderful, guys!!! I've had a rough morning and you guys have cheered me up with these funny and amazing fiddles. Thank you!!! ~hugs~

It's not Rockwell, but that just made me think of how Jean-Luc and Beverly would look in "American Gothic". :D

It doesn't look like a joke. It looks like someone tried to make a joke and doesn't know the difference between Austria and Australia. It just makes the photoshopper look dumb.

Unless it's referring to a real-life happening with Zachary Quinto, of which I am not familiar.

^^^Obviously this needs to be spelled out. In the movie Dumb and Dumber, Jim Carey's character has almost the identical dialogue, sticking his head out of a limousine, when speaking to a woman from Austria. No, I didn't mispell it. The joke was that he was so stupid he thought Austria and Australia were the same place. That's it. In fact, the youtube link in #384 shows that same clip.
Now, let's move on. Thank you.
