I thought like that too until I suffered through the final season of the Gilmor Girls without Amy Sherman, or the final seasons of the west wing without Aaron Sorkin (Or even the final seaosn's of the West Wing without Aaroin Sorkin on cocaine.)

What the frack is the late Bloomers Revolution?

Sorkin is writing "facebook" the movie? Wow.

Oh, I wondered why I liked Charlie Wilson's War.

Facebook, the movie? I have lost my will to live. :(

Back on topic now...

Meanwhile, the negotiation that seems to be getting the most attention in the blogosphere -- Warner Bros. TV's attempts to get "Chuck" renewed on NBC -- was finally under way on Thursday. Insiders expected some sort of positive resolution soon.

The end of the agony is nigh. Subway foot-longs all around!

The network had asked for significant budget reductions on top of the cuts producing studio Warner Bros. TV had already made going into the second season.

After weeks of back-and-forth, the two sides are said to be very close to a compromise that would bring the karate-enhanced intercept back next season.

If that means getting rid of some of the HORRID CG work in the first two seasons, bring on the budget cuts.

Hopefully that does not translate to cuts to the core cast, although I think we're headed that way to a degree with the Buy More possibly being phased out.

So...reduced episode order on top of budget cuts and a possible timeslot of 8pm Friday? Damn.

NBC must've really wanted to cancel Chuck. I'm not complaining...some episodes are better than none, but this is as close to a shitty deal as they could've cut.

When ABC brought Scrubs back from the dead last year, budget cuts were made in the area of reduced cast appearances. So I think that's what's going to happen with Chuck too. Though how much difference will it make since there have always been multi-episode stretches where characters are MIA (Julia Ling, Sarah Lancaster & Ryan McPartlin, Marc Christopher Lawrence...).

My god.. either cancel the thing and be done with it or make a leap of faith and support the damn thing properly (and the numbers + fan reactions prove that it has an audience).

As it stands right now it sounds like it will be filler because sending a test picture for an hour interrupted by ads just has no style. I fear that Chuck is just another show that would have really done very well but is ruined because the TV execs just don't have the balls and really promote/support the show.

No, that would be the Leno Every Night Prime-Time Show.

Numb3rs on CBS has done extreme well on Friday nights, and as someone mentioned above, The X-Files also had its best audience on Friday nights.

So I think we might get at least one more full season out of Chuck, which frankly, is all the farther it should go.

But its return is welcome news for this couch potato!

^ Yeah, I gotta agree. And honestly, as long as the show gets a proper ending (intersect out, Chuck & Sarah together), I'm cool with it. ;)
