What do you want to see in a STAR TREK sequel?

There's a lot of talk of the DOs and DON'Ts for a Trek sequel.

Of course talk is cheap and everyone has a take. But I thought it might be interesting to see what you want to see in a new Trek film.

I've tried to think of as many options as possible for this poll.

I'm sick of Romulans now, had them in NEM and in TrekXI so I want to see the Klingons again, i've always wanted to get back to the good old days where the Klingons were the enemy. Recapture the greatness of the TOS films.

I've said it on other threads, I would like to see an enemy within: a major potitical crisis involving traitors and dividing the Federation to a civil war. New idea for Trek, plenty of inspiration from holywood and reality to make a killer blockbuster.

No Klingons, no time travel plots (unless it involves something to do with Shatner and/or a better address to the alternate timeline). An interesting idea would be for Kirk to screw up enough to be demoted in rank so that we get more of a Lower Decks feel for the story.
Also would like to see Gary Mitchell, Carol Marcus, Andorians, the Gorn, the Tholians and a freaking bone thrown to fans of the other shows. Something that would go over the head of non-fans but would be recognized by the fans (ex. Uhura in this film ordering a Cardassian drink).

Except the obvious (I think) "Something New and Original that We've Never Seen Before", my selections were GORN and THOLIANS.
I might be watching too much The Hidden Frontier fan-made episodes, but the Tholians have potential: not much is known, and there's a lot of room to play around with a mysterious, powerful race. The Gorn too are something that I'd like to see exploited more, again I say this after "dealing with them" in A.S.R.'s universe. They could straight the road for some good battles too

Still, I have to say, the only idea of a sequel is thrilling in itself, so I don't really care much! ...it's so good to see Star Trek moving again on the big screen!

There's an idea i definitely like!

How about...we all hope that JJA broke the mighty episode reset button and that what happens THIS WEEK on star trek is remembered by EVERYONE NEXT WEEK when the next sequence happens?

My biggest wish is....i hope hope hope that reset button finally got stuck on that it shorted a fuse this time or something!
