As for "New Mexican" I wasn't aware that was its own type of cuisine.![]()

I think I've said before that I don't eat animal products, (eg, cheese), so I always make my own pizzas. Tonight's topping was (in order of construction): tomato paste, garlic powder, red onion, tomatoes, fresh oregano, green olives, yellow peppers, chilli powder, salt, black pepper, balsamic vinegar, a little turmeric, and olive oil.

I ate three animals to make up for your zero: Chickens, pigs and shrimps.

^I see your point. I think it's a matter of how many you need to feed. I can get a medium pizza for around $6-7 USD, and a Chinese meal for around the same. Both god for about the same servings. But, as you increase the number of people eating the food, the price grows exponentially with the chinese food, and only a little for the Pizza. It's only about 3-4 dollars more to upgrade to a Large pizza, for around $10-12, which can easily feed 3-4 people, while each chinese meal can feed on person, 2 maybe, at $7 a piece. So, for 4 people, that's $12 vs $28 (all estimated, of course). You could realistically feed 6-10 people with a sheet pizza for $22, but to feed that many with a Chinese dinner, that's still $7 per person.
I guess if you're living by yourself, it really doesn't matter, because most 1 -2 serving meals will cost around the same, but it's MUCH more economical to get pizza when dealing with larger groups or families. Which, sadly, is why Chinese is a rarity for me...
Kudos for ... the good use of Misc as a backup neocortex.![]()
The price for the chinese food actually grows linearly. Four people cost twice as much as two. But, as you increase the number of people eating the food, the price grows exponentially with the chinese food, and only a little for the Pizza.
