How much will Star Trek take in 2nd weekend?

Well, now that its mid-week, what do people think Star Trek will take in its 2nd weekend in North America?

I hope $35mil+.

I plan to resee it on Friday. One thing is it has to do well this weekend as well. I hope for at least half of whatever A&D takes.

I'll probably see it twice this weekend. I've seen it 4 times already. So, $12 mil. But that's just from me.

Wishful thinking it may be, but I'm going over 40 million. Angels and Demons will attract the older, +50 crowd I think, while Star Trek will still attract the faithful, those drawn to it by word of mouth, and frustrated Wolverine fans just to heckle.

The fact that IMAX will show it one more week will inflate the dollar totals as well...

That's what my crystal ball says, anyway.

That. Its day to day holds have been as good as or a bit better than Iron Man's (percentage-wise, that is....Iron Man obviously opened bigger), and Iron Man dropped a bit less than 50% in its second weekend, so Trek has a strong possibility of doing so as well.

According to Box Office Mojo, the last Trek movie to be #1 for two consecutive weekends was TVH way back in 1986.

I think it's got at least $30-35 million in it this week. Which is nothing to sneeze at.

Sure; some have been saying the IMAX receipts are giving the movie a nice bump.
