Pikes uniform at the end

I totally dug it. Was reminiscient of TMP in terms of colors, but fit in with the rest of the uniforms in terms of cut and style.

And I liked his shoulder rank insignia thingies. They is shiny.

Another nice homage that clearly fit with the design choices of the Enterprise. I would not at all be surprised if Star Trek XII did away with the TOS duty uniforms and went in a modified TMP or even TWOK direction (nearly there with the cadet uniforms)

TOS tunics were a lovely gift to the fans and clearly an iconic look well exploited for the film's marketing and promotion. I'll be happy either way, but Pike's uniform clearly shows that nuTrek is not beholden to one era's design.

They seemed to have multiple unis anyway - cadet (Kirk et al) and instructor (Spock) unis, the classic duty unis, and whatever Kirk was wearing during the Kobayashi Maru.

Kirks uniform in the KM test looked like the outer coat from "The Cage" that the landing party wore on Talos IV.

I did catch Pike's admiral garb, and it made me smile.

What a pleasant surprise to see an updated version of the Motion Pictiure uniform in the movie. I wonder if this reboot will work up to that look for Kirk and the gang someday.

I didn't recognize his uniform as being as anything special (was too caught up with how he was in a wheelchair), but I will keep my eyes open the next time around.
