Can we preorder the DVD yet?

I know it's rather... early :)-- I'm mostly excited for the advanced content but if I can preorder this thing now-- bring it on!

I'm curious to see what sort of DVD this movie gets. I assume there will be a single-disc, bare-bones DVD, a 2-disc collectors edition, then then a BluRay.

Of course, I loved the previous McCoy character; but I find Urban pretty sexy.

Don't know about pre-order, but on play.com you can ask to be notified when it's in stock.

amazon is doing this, too.

I would rather wait, and have them do a good job. I'm really, really tired of Star Trek DVDs with lackluster extras.

What DVD's do you think have had a poor selection of extras?

I've only got one season of DS9 on DVD (I had planned to get more from all eras until I found a VHS player that worked) but have the cheaper version so expected less extras...

The films though have had quite good additions, all directors edition (minus Nemesis)

DeForrest was kind of like my uncle who liked to sprout out some pretty outrageous stuff and I'd like to sit by during family reunions.

Urban is only a year older than I am and he's like a little bonbon full of anger and with a nice butt.

Some of the films had OK extras, but not up there with some of the special edition-type stuff that's out there.

And the extras on the TOS original DVDs (haven't seen those for TOS-R) are IMHO pretty scant.

Yeah you know it's a different universe because we're lusting after McCoy...LOL LOL

I don't usually employ this term, but since they're so well put: DITTO

I'm assuming that for all the women fans, the Special McCoy Edition will indeed be bare Bones.

Come on, I can't believe I'm the first one to think of that gag.

And back on topic (wrenches mind away from image) since I'm not likely to be able to see it in the cinema again, I don't mind if there's a no-extras DVD out quickly - I just want to see it again... often!

Be careful what you wish for. Where Paramount's concerned, you'll probably get it.

Following on in 12 months time will be the Special You Knew It Was Coming This Is The Fan Rip Off Not Quite So Bare Bones Edition where via the controls on your remote, you'll be able to play on-screen Operation using a CGI created naked Urban.

Just so long as there's a proper collector's edition later. (or did you mean naked McCoy  )

My older sister drools Homer-Simpson-style whenever she hears his name, too.

This film's filled with hotties, anyway... up until now, we got loads of eye candy for the men.

It was time they did something for us, too.

I didn't even know where to look. This is gold. Finally, someone had the bright idea of casting guys the women can *squee* over. :D
