Which Character Will Die in a Sequel?

Since this is an alternate universe a main character could die. Who do you think has the greatest chance of dying?

I'm thinking Chekov for no other reason besides him being the young kid and it affecting everyone else.

Honestly, though, it would take a lot for me to really care about these characters dying.

The good thing is if any of them die, the Enterprise can just zoom into a black hole, grab an alternate copy, and zoom back into the black hole again.

Humbug! No one will die. Even on everyone's favorite "let's shock the audience" show LOST, they aren't killing long-standing audience favorites anymore. Instead they're introducing new characters, make the audience care about them a little and then kill them.

Neither do I, but we have a "Lost" creator and producer (Abrams and Lindelof) involved, so it's a possibility.

True... I hope they manage to contain their evil sadistic urges to decimate the original crew.

I wouldn't get the point of making them get together through all these coincidences (which don't bother me BTW) and then just having even one of them bite the dust.

This is going to sound snarky, but I kinda hope Chekov dies. That accent was getting on my nerves.

I just think Chekov will be tortured. He was often the guy in TOS and the TOS movies who had to withstand some serious beating up or electric shock or ceti eel or whatever.

And maybe as he'll get older, his accent will soften.

That's how I felt on the first viewing, but I've liked it more and more with each viewing.
