One thing about this movie, it did not lack for new starships.

Aside from the USS Kelvin, USS Enterprise, the Narada and the Jellyfish we got;

New Klingon Warbirds (too bad the Burger Kingons spoiled that surprise)
Kobayashi Maru
New Starbase

Several new federation starships with 2 & 4 nacelles (Need pictures!)

As well as several smaller shuttles and transports in several scenes.

Now if we can just get some company to make us some miniatures or do I have have to order from Hong Kong for these too?

those four nacelle ones actually have two nacelles and two secondary hulls i think.

One appears to be a Miranda-type but with a secondary hull between the nacelles.

And you are right, the other does appear to be a catamaran-type with two secondary hulls.

I didn't think I'd like the large-nacelled STXI Enterprise, but it works well on the big screen. Loved the Kelvin also.

Also thought the Vulcan vessel of Spock's was damn cool. I'd LOVE to see a model of that with a little scale Spock in the cockpit.

It's interesting that what were speculated to be small "Romulan fighters" of some kind when the first pictures of the Kelvin were released turned out to be torpedoes or missiles.

I liked them. If you read the novel it changes their names, but that doesn't detract from their beauty.

Those new ships were indeed very cool!

All of the other ships seem to be built using Kelvin components (or being very similar) - which makes a lot of sense. Their warp nacelles and sub-warp engines are very similar.

I didn't like the "thrusters" at the end of the warp nacelles.

It implies too much that warp-drive is Newtonian propulsion.

I seem to remember seeing them on-screen in the Kobayashi Maru (they looked like green versions of your standard TOS Klingon ship)
