It better be, he's had it since his early twenties and he's not giving it up anytime soon. He's too overprotective of the child - his first, my second. I was the one throwing the baby around while he was screaming for me to stop.
Why, thanks, Destro. I call myself "Kate" because it's one of my actual real life nicknames, though - I honestly didn't even think of it in relation to Janeway until I saw all the various Janeway-related avatars. Context is everything - even with nicknames.
Don't think I'm happy about it because I'm not. At all. "Resentful" comes to mind. But I can't stand really crowded theaters, so this weekend is out, and I have a gigantic deadline looming next week, so next week is out. Avoiding spoilers all that time is going to be quite the challenge. I like it. And I am lovin' all these faces.
Thank you. All I did was set the camera on the tripod and hit the timer. Nope you don't. And I would feel odd if he didn't. I would know immediately that I had lost what little charm I had left. And I would like to echo everyone's sentiments about this wonderful thread. It is nice to really see what everyone looks like. Old friends now have faces to go with their names!
And you! *waves" I'm really enjoying this thread. I'm finding it very liberating and off-putting posting with my own avatar (a bit like going topless on the beach! ) And you're looking great on it! TWOK was still a whole year away when I was 15. I'm off to see it this afternoon. It's my reward for doing more DIY. I have a date with a paint can and another with Bones McCoy all in the same day! Kustirider, it's great to see you here. You remind me of me when I was your age. It's great to know that all these years later, there's a new film for 15 year olds to enjoy! (Did that sound patronising? Wasn't meant to.)
Thanks. My roomie who also comes here told me about this thread. And the picture is definitely me. And my aforementioned roomie took it, though it's 3 years old now. He goes by Plague on here, and he's an amazing photographer. It's nice to see everyone. Oh. And when I was 15, I believe Next Generation was gearing up to air Season 3. DS9 was still 3.5 years away...or something like that.
Durn. You had to out me as the photographer on that one? I really like the contrast on it, but I otherwise hate the way it came out. It doesn't do you justice, but I'm glad you like it.
^ I guess this means you're awake. lol. And yes, I like that picture. As does my grandmother. I like your picture too. I don't recognize that one.
Whew! Nice save. And to join the 15 meme: When I was 15, it was the Bicentennial. And I don't think they had even started talking about the Star Trek: Phase II that eventually became TMP.
