Boring as crap. I've seen better crazy people on other Whedon seeries. Alpha's dialogue is weak, almost cliched.

Topher sucked as usual, but thankfully he didn't have a whole hell of a lot of dialogue.

The whole episode was so boring I never cared what happened with Echo/Caroline. Even when Echo made her way out to save her Caroline wedge from falling off the beam.

Aside from Ballard finding the Dollhouse, nothing of importance has happened these passed two episodes. In fact the whole Alpha reveal Echo taking pretty much feels to me could have been a mid season episode.

I'm glad they are going to air the 13th episode in July, because this was an extremely poor finale. I'll give Season 2 -- if it happens -- three or four episodes, but I've lost patience with this show.

While it wasn't quite as... exciting as I hoped for (and maybe that's mostly because it's hard to top Star Trek, the finale was a fairly good one IMO. It wasn't really a cliffhanger/suspenseful ending, sure, but it has to potentially serve as a series finale, so they had to wrap up a lot.

Looks like the speculation that Dr. Claire Saunders is in fact a doll was correct. That was a rather interesting development, and I think will be interesting to watch if the show continues.

I'm glad to see that November/Mellie/Madeline got to be free. To me, that makes the most sense for Ballard. Especially given that he's "contracting" for the Dollhouse now. Between a friend and myself, we pretty much called exactly this outcome; but it still felt right. At least they didn't chair him.

I definitely like Penikett's chemistry with the dollhouse staff - Boyd in particular, and they have the feelings of a classic cop duo. I'm a little worried though that since they're both a sort of "moral" voice in this, that they will step on each others' toes in terms of their role for the show, but that probably won't be a huge deal -- I hope.

I'm also glad that Alpha is still on the loose. 1) it keeps the antagonist role clearly defined; and 2) allows us to see Alan Tuydek again :D Despite some sense of closure, I think there are still a lot of open ends here.

I was... underwhelmed by this. There weren't any sit-up-and-say-oh-shit! moments. It unfolded pretty much the way I expected, and the thing that I didn't really want to happen -- Ballard going to work for the Dollhouse as a "contractor" -- is exactly what happened.

I am curious what the next step in Echo's evolution will be, now that she's aware of her original identity in her wiped state.

The episode wasn't that bad and as corny as it was, i did somewhat like that firefly line that Topher gave. I also liked that song they used at the end, Beck, Everybody's gotta learn, from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Dushku and fake Dushku was very painful. Really, if they kill this show... well, good riddance. Maybe he can try again next time.

Glad to hear they are now going to air the 13th, originally not for air episode.
Isn't this the episode with the actor who played Walsh on Firefly?

I thought that it paid off the setup from last week (and, in general, most of this short season) pretty well. I'd enjoy another season but won't be crushed if this (plus the "coda" ep) is all there is - it set up the premise, ran with it some, and resolved the Alpha mystery satisfyingly enough.

I've gotta disagree. The bit between Topher and Whiskey at the end was the stand out moment of the episode and opens up all kinds of interesting possibilities if we gt a second season.

Excellent - I liked it...

- It would be interesting to see what they would have (or will? doubtful now) done with Whiskey as a self-aware doll.
- The frankenstein castle-ish look of Alpha's chair room was neat. :)
- Also nice of them to tackle the "soul" question more (finally).
- And Alpha's threat to kill Caroline over and over was nicely twisted.

You can definitely tell that they compressed about a season's worth of events into these last two episodes. I guess they saw the writing on the wall. On the other hand it most definitely felt more like a season finale than a series finale.

The show overall was not very strong... So I understand if it is not renewed. At the same time it could go some interesting places if against all probability is renewed.

The biggest flaws of the show were:
1) Dushku herself - not charismatic nor talented enough to be the main star
2) A start with 5-6 poor and bland episodes. The show should have started with "Man on the street".

No, these last two episodes are the ones with the actor who played Wash on Firelfly.

I liked this episode. Obviously I haven't seen 1x13, but this made sense as a series finale. Ballard's loosing Madeline was touching, although it's unfortunate we've probably seen the last of the fantastic Miracle Laurie.

Loved the Whiskey reveal; even though I was on the "Saunders is a doll" bandwagon, that moment caught me off guard. Hopefully they get to explore Whiskey's self-awareness in episode 13 a bit, especially if Fox doesn't renew it.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Victor from here on out.
I've heard the rumours that one of the dolls would be boxed by the end of the season, but I don't know...it just feels too easy. Not to mention they already wrote out one doll, I can't imagine getting rid of a second one a week later, even if we added Whiskey to the list.

I also really have to wonder about the naming conventions in this place. I had assumed there would always be 26 actives at any given time, but the way they refer to Alpha would seem to imply that he hasn't been replaced. Additionally, you'd think Saunders would wonder why there wasn't a Whiskey wandering around (since she's still technically a doll, I can't imagine they would've replaced her...an idea reinforced by their seeming lack of confusion when Topher was talking about Whiskey's imprint).

I loved that fake Dushku was so horrible. I'm almost convinced the actress played it wooden on purpose, just to mock Dushku's acting abilities.

First I've heard of a July airing. But if that's true, I can almost guarantee that means Fox won't be renewing the show. No way they'd waste a single original episode of an ongoing series in the middle of the summer.

^ But why wait 2 months to air one episode? Why not just air it now and get it over with?

The series had a few bright spots, but I won't be crying if/when it's cancellled.

Topher mentioned that Dr. Saunders was "Whiskey 1.1," so perhaps she was replaced by Whiskey 2.1, and likewise with the other Dolls when they are replaced.
