I bought the fifth, and final, season on DVD yesterday. (I hate inconsistent season set boxes, further so boxes without titles on the top of them!)

Anyway, this was a brilliant series. Often a mouthpiece for a liberal agenda, but brilliant, also some of Shatner's finest work.

It's a shame this series is canceled.

Gone before its time.

^ Not soo much before its time I think 5 years was the perfect rn for a show like this but it should of been a full 5th season. Boston Legal is my number 1 show of all time, I love the humor/drama and the Liberal stuff is fine with me :techman:

Denny Crane what a character ey

A full fifth season would've been nice, but I think a couple more seasons would've been nice. Ten seasons would've been out of line for a legal drama wanting to make messages.

I love it. Haven't seen either of the final two seasons yet, and I'm in no rush. I like the idea of having new episodes of Denny Crane waiting to be seen.

BL could easily have sustained another couple of seasons IMO.

I see that Castle's ratings have now slipped below BL's fifth season average, and does far, far worse in the demo.

BL was one of ABC's most consistent performers, dropping only 700,000 viewers inbetween its second and fifth seasons.

Well done ABC.....

For me, I expect Season 5 to arrive over the next couple of days. I only got in to it (via dvd) a year or so ago.

Good show and a shame it was cancelled.

There really isn't a rush as seasons 4 and 5 are by far the weakest.

Maybe but there are some great eps in there as well. The thing to really look forward to is...crap. I don't know how to do the spoiler hider dealio...Alan Shore's epic (by TV standards) monologue in the last episode. Not gonna tell you the circumstances but some of the best writing in TV ever.

In your opinion...for me there fine infact season 5 was very very strong and was a wonderful send off for BL. If anything season 2 is the weakest due to being mucked up by having season 1 episodes in it and being a little too long for its own good (27 eps was it ?)

Season 5 is good, but not as good as season 1-3. However it did have a wonderful, loving, caring, insanely funny ending.

Alan lost a lot of his edge in the later seasons, but the relationship with Denny has so much charm in the final two seasons, that it kinda makes up for it.
