It seems as soon as someone comes to wide public attention, there's always someone who wants to get jollies out of speculating on their sexuality. How boring.
Agreed...Anthony's back and forth with JJ was far more entertaining.Opie and Anthony's interview with JJ was much better. Stern's an old hack.
What are you supposed to reply to that? "No way man, the guy is knee deep in pussy" or "Yeah man, he's as gay as Rock Hudson in a bath house."
Well, it's Stern's act. It's American radio! What on American radio (aside from NPR) isn't offensive garbage?
Sorry, no. I get enough exposure to mental and emotional immaturity dealing with customers at my job every day.
Apologies to any Stern fans here, but personally, I think the guy is a monumental jackass, and his cohorts on his show are about the same. He's never been funny, has failed to say anything that even vaguely indicates intelligence, is raunchy and foul-mouthed for no other reason than because he can and wants to be. Being raunchy and foul-mouthed works if you've got something intelligent to back it up, but if not, then you're just a vacuous jerk with minions clapping along like trained seals. No thanks.
When he went to satellite radio I danced a little jig.
Howard said on his show today that "Star Trek" is the best science fiction movie of all-time! He went on to say that J.J. successfully breathed new life into a stale franchise, something George Lucas tried and failed to do with Episodes 1-3 of Star Wars. Robin gushed about how good it was and was particularly taken with Chris Pine. Everyone else that saw it with them loved it too!
Well, that's worth quite a few tickets sold.

Being a fan of the show, to me, it came off more as a goof throw-away line. It was meant for a quick laugh, nothing more.
I think Stern is the type who takes it up the ass by his wife/girlfriend. He overcompensates at his job because he's so inadequate and ruled by his wife/girlfriend at home.
BTW, that sort of public speculation is as inappropriate as Stern's questions.
What are you supposed to reply to that? "No way man, the guy is knee deep in pussy" or "Yeah man, he's as gay as Rock Hudson in a bath house." Dumb question.
I listen to NPR.
Well, Howard has gotten blunt replies that veer in both those directions, depending on who the guest is.![]()
The more seriously a person takes himself, the more insecure that person tends to be. (And the less time I usually want to spend around that person.)
Just what do you mean by that? Huh? Huh?
Shatner's a frequent guest of Howard's. Always a good show.
Now if only Shatner would come in on a George Takei-week ...Shatner's a frequent guest of Howard's. Always a good show.
I suspect that Shatner's frequent and spirited appearances on the Stern show inspired him to do "Shatner's Raw Nerve." And, much as I love Shatner, that show only highlights how good Stern is at what he does, and how difficult it is to successfully imitate him.
