Did anyone else catch J.J. Abrams on Howard Stern this morning?
Abrams basically crashed the Howard Stern show, looking to plug "Star Trek." Howard said that, since Abrams was extremely kind to his daughters back during the days of "Felicity," that Howard would do anything for him.
Howard spoke about how Quinto looked so much like Spock, and then asked Abrams (about Quinto):
Howard: "Does he get pussy, that guy?"
Abrams (somewhat awkwardly) responded: "Has he been on the show? You should ask him."
One of Howard's crew, Artie Lange, responded: "He seems fruity, that guy."
When the conversation turned to Pine, Artie responded: "Is he a gay guy, as well?"
These are the hard-hitting questions that you just don't hear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Howard and crew were going to see a free screening of "Star Trek" right after today's show, so it should be interesting to see what they say about it tomorrow. Pretty much everyone was really looking forward to the film.
Abrams said that he didn't expect to do "Wolverine" numbers on opening weekend. He would be happy with anything near $50 million. Howard predicted a $79 million opening. Abrams said he would do anything for that to be true, including (at Howard's suggestion) blow Howard.
Let's hope he's right.
