Have you ever orderd from amazon.com?

I've had no problems with amazon. I've been ordering since I got my credit card two years ago and before that my mother used it since its creation, I think, and she's been very happy with it.

Never had an issue with them. Only time when I was a bit confused was when I got an email that they had dispatched my order again. But that was because the recipient had already gotten it without me knowing and the dvd-case was broken so she ordered a replacement.

I use co.uk more and they've never mucked an order up once and it's always arrived. I've also used the market sellers section there a few times and they've always worked out too.

I've used .com once and that went fine too:)

I use Amazon so often that I went ahead and signed up for Amazon Prime. The free two-day shipping really comes in handy around birthdays and Christmas time, and I save more than the subscription I pay by not having to pay the S&H charges, so it works well for me.

There aren't any good comic book stores in my area, so I go to Amazon to buy my trades whenever I don't feel like paying $20 for them at my local Barnes & Noble.

I've only ordered from Amazon.co.uk, does that count?

They've been pretty good, but more expensive than some of the alternatives (mainly because of high shipping costs to the Continent)

I've been ordering from Amazon for years, sometimes several times a week; I've placed hundreds of orders. They have fantastic service and fantastic customer service. I always choose the single order, free shipping option and the stuff always comes sooner than they estimate (with the exception of a couple of books that were delayed by the publisher, like the Humbug hardcover set).

The only time I ever had a problem was when I had to order the same book three times because they shipped the wrong one twice; turned out to be some kind of a glitch in their database. No big deal.

I've also ordered from a couple of Marketplace sellers, mostly the HPLHS, and have had great service from them, too.

I have used Amazon a couple of dozen times. About half of my transactions have involved buying secondhand books from their independent sellers. From Amazon themselves I have bought DVDs and a handful of new books.

I have never had a single problem. Delivery has always been well within the delivery estimate.

I haven't used it quite as much un the last year because the Australian dollar isn't that favourable at the moment. In the past I have been able to get things considerable cheaper than I could buy them within Australia.

I've only ever had one problem with Amazon, and it wasn't really them.

I ordered an mp3 player from another company through Amazon, and selected 2 day shipping because I wanted it quickly. This particular store only used DHL for shipping.

It went out the same day I ordered it, with an estimated delivery date of two days later. On that date, the tracking site said it was out for delivery. When I came home from work, no mp3 player. I checked the tracking thing again, it said "lazy delivery guy is lazy" and it was back at the office place.

Three days later, it hadn't moved. So I called DHL and asked "what the fuck?" and they pretty much said they'll deliver it when they felt like it. Then I asked if I could just come pick it up and they were like "No, GTFO" and hung up. I finally got my thing like a week later, as which point I sent a complaint letter to DHL (no response) and an e-mail to the seller recommending they not use DHL anymore (received a "thank you for your suggestion" e-mail back.) I don't understand the lack of response from DHL. At the very least businesses will reply with an apology form letter, and most of the time they'll give you something. Seriously, write to McDonalds or something with the most frivilous complaint you can think of (my cheeseburger only had TWO PICKLES on it instead of three! I'm OUTRAGED!) and at the least you'll get an apology and some coupons. Hmm... maybe DHL just hasn't had the time to respond yet. I mean, it was only a year and a half ago...

Anyway, Amazon is good, but DHL sucks.

Love Amazon. I don't order as much as I used to as they now charge me Tax, but I still order a decent amount, especially books and Blu Rays.

I was thinking about ordering some books, but before I do I want to know if anyone on the bored has? & how the experiance was? was the shiping fast? did they ever screw up a order? how dependible are they?

I've ordered several things, both new and used, from them and their affiliates, and have never had a single problem.

Joe, pleased

Nothing but the best customer service I have ever had. I only had to contact their customer service twice.

1st: Order the entire Bond DVD collections, turns out in the box set somebody put an extra On her majesty's secret service and left out some other movie. e-mailed amazon and they send me another full collection for free!!!

2nd: They canceled my Dr. Horrible's DVD for some reason and charged me shipping and handling for my other items which I ordered. E-mailed them and charges reversed.

Jeff Bezos is a visionary IMO. Even more brilliant than Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. Here are some of this thoughts: http://www.usnews.com/articles/news...as-best-leaders-jeff-bezos-amazoncom-ceo.html

Edit: It is because of amazon I don't even need to visit my LCBS!!! Price and service beats them hands down.

Amazon's success is largely due to their excellent customer service. They do what they promise, do it right, and if there's a mistake, they make it right plus. There is something to be said for reliability and putting the customer first.

I honestly don't know anyone who hasn't ordered from Amazon.

I have bought many different kinds of items on Amazon, from books and DVDs to clothing and hair products. I trust them very much. I've also sold my used textbooks as an independent seller on Amazon. That was really easy and convenient as well. I love how they protect the buyer AND the seller, so neither gets screwed if the other fucks up. This is something that eBay cannot get the hang of at all.

I order from Amazon a lot! I'm sure they love it when I log on. I haven't had any problems in the years I've dealt with them. I've only needed to return one item - a book about guinea pigs that had a novel inside instead of the guinea pig book. It was easy to return and I got the correct book quickly. :D

Amazon just informed that the my preorder of Earth: Final Conflict Season 1 has shipped!
