Ok, Chloe is simply wrong. She can't stay with Davis 24/7, so she is not the solution. She is standing in the way of the solution.

She is mortal, and in 50 years or so, Davis goes on a killing spree and wipes out everyone on the planet, or else Clark kills him then.

But it won't even get that far, because she is cracking up under the stress, and she will lose Davis long before that. So Davis starts killing and then Clark is forced to fight.

So Chloe doesn't have a solution, she is part of the problem. She can't step back and see that, and she isn't totally rational.

Now Clark. Thing about Superman is that he has to be the ethical leader, not the ethical follower. He can't spend his life depending on other people to tell him what is right and what is wrong. For all these seasons we have been supposed to be watching him grow into that ethical leader.

This has to be Clark's turning point. He has to see that he is responsible for his own decisions, so he has to have a bullet-proof code of ethics and he can't keep letting Chloe or anyone else make his decisions for him. Any further deaths Doomsday is responsible for, they are also Clark's responsibility, because Doomsday could be in the Zone, but he's not, because Clark decided to let Chloe talk him down.

Clark has to die at Doomsday's hand, and he has to return to see the carnage that resulted because he delegated the responsibilty for the decision that day to Chloe.

Chloe is crazy. Whether there is an underlying reason, or whether this is just the writer's needing her to be irrational, she is not making clear headed choices. Clark can't depend on other people to tell him what is ethical, who get's yet another chance (and Davis isn't getting just a second chance her Chloe, he has had many.)

I wonder if Brent caught that slinky nightgown scene. I gotta rewind that on the commercial.

Oh, Clark. Did you forget about all the lives you took in the first few seasons?

Yes, there were a number of accidental deaths in those early years, weren't there?
And one of them was Lois' ex boyfriend.

Just a wee bit puzzled here, have we seen Gaeta's character before? Just who is he?
Yes, he's appeared briefly before. J'onn set him up at Met Hospital to help the League when members are injured and taken there...

That's right, I remember now. Thanks!
I was about to ask about him too. He didn't seem new, yet I didn't remember him.

Too bad Batman doesn't exist or is ever referenced or Olli should say "Clark just ask yourself WWBD?" lol

In this version of Superman, Ollie IS Batman.

Or The Batman, depending on your preference.
Yeah, I wish Batman was Batman instead of Ollie bing Batman.

Moving on... It's a shame to see Chloe keeping secrets and getting in over her head. At one point, I was afraid Ollie was gonna fire her from her Watchtower position.

By the way, What's Jimmy's new job?

still watching.

The opening scene reminded the hell out of me about little Shop Horrors.

Chloe is no Rick Morranis in the most wonderful ways.

Oh. It was a sex metaphor. Silly me. I was wondering if Proctus wanted his own actual boiled cum or he had some interesting use for vaporized semen? Because although you can milk anything with nipples, you can't generally actually produce something usable other than blood unless you milk a man much lower than his nipples, but there's no guarantee you won't end up with a fair amount of blood down there too due to a preexisting condition or carelessness on the milkers part with the milkees part.

I like how her nighty is shiny.

Shiny things are pretty.

Men can lactate. Stimulation of the nipple causes the pituitary gland to relase prolactin, the hormone responsible for inducing milk production in mammary tissue. Men have mammary tissue, though very little of it. It is, however, enough.

This episode was actually interesting.

Cute, but still looks 14 (but not in the hot "forbidden fruit" way so many seem to like) and not really droolworthy. And I don't get the whole "Chlovage" thing. She's just not that well-endowed, guys.

Interesting. You tell Bobby DeNiro and we'll see how that works out. :)

On Fringe the Over night, Pacy from Dawsons Creek said to some club girl while examining the crowd with a thermal imager "Oh, you're definitely hot but I'm looking for a girl with syphilis."

Boiled internal fluids is obviously a remark about syphilis.

I missed the obvious joke.

My Bad.

You've some interesting-looking 14 year-olds in your parts.

Naw. It's just that I'm so incredibly old that anyone under 25 still looks like a kid to me. (With a few rare exceptions) ;)

Sure, she's no Erica Durance, but you can't deny pics like this one:

Anyway, found this quote that sheds some light on at least one of the Exec Producer's opinion of this episode:

SV magazine (SV Magazine #32 (May/June 09 issue)) said:
TS/Todd Slavkin: With Davis she sees a victim, someone she can help. The fact that he's [created by] Kryptonians makes it that much more special. She knows so much, yet refuses to give up on Davis. She sees him being plagued by these demons and this beast, so Chloe is intent on quelling that beast. She and Clark will be at odds in a certain way, but she's doing the right thing. Chloe has been through a lot this year and has had the most difficult time of all the characters.

She is 26, she'll be 27 in July
