Clark tried the "Captain Kirk talks the computer into destroying itself" techinque on Davis.
Didn't work.
So someone tell me: Is the comic book Doomsday's backstory very similar to Davis Bloom's in Smallville, that he's some kind of twisted Kryptonian? -- RR
That's because NO ONE can talk a computer into self-destructing the way that James T. Kirk can!

If I remember correctly, he was a genetically-engineered creature, but I'm not sure that he ever looked 'human' the way that Davis does.
