Doctor Who: Dreamland

RTD mentioned recently that they were working on some other stuff for this year in addition to the Specials and one was apparently announced Thursday at the BBC's Mulitplatform Day by Rosie Allimonos the Corporation's Multiplatform Commissioner.

"Doctor Who: Dreamland" will be another animated series (hopefully with a bigger budget than the first one) which will be voiced, naturally, by Tennant in what will technically be his last performance as the Doctor.

1 - I can dream.
2 - The one with Martha came out during Donna's year. So Donna's can come out any time.

No, Infiinite Quest originally ran as a serial as part of Totally Doctor Who alongside the 2007 Martha season. It was just repeated later as a compilation (and quite a few times since) during the Donna season.

Dude! :scream: What did I say?

I can dream. Gosh!

Sweet! I loved The Infinite Quest.
I thought The Infinite Quest was merely okay. There was something about it that didn't quite sit right with me, and then I realized what it was -- the story felt like an Eight/Izzy script that Alan Barnes had laying around in his files for ten years, rather than an authentic Ten/Martha story.

I can't say I have that with problem because sadly I haven't been able to delve into the books and audio plays. The Infinite Quest actually reminded me a bit of The Key to Time, but in a good way. I think one of the things that appealed the most to me was seeing a bunch of alien worlds as oppose to different points in time on Earth that predominant in Davies' Doctor Who. I only just wish The Infinite Quest had been presented as the full season arc. That would have been a lot of fun. But then I suppose people would call it a The Key to Time retread. :p

Comics. ;)

Izzy was the eighth Doctor's companion in Doctor Who Magazine. She's in the Panini graphic novel collections Endgame, The Glorious Dead, and Oblivion.

Izzy is cool. :)

^ And in July's 4-episode 8th Doctor collection The Company of Friends from Big Finish, Izzy is played by Jemima Rooper.

Izzy is a teenager that the eighth Doctor picks up in Stockbridge. She has an unhappy home life, she's a science-fiction geek, and she's a lesbian (though that isn't obvious until about halfway through her time with the Doctor). She goes through some interesting changes during her time, and the Doctor returns her to Stockbridge on the same day she left (they watch as she leaves with the Doctor initially), even though she's a few years older. We get a brief glimpse of Izzy in the eighth Doctor's last comics story, "The Flood," after several years have passed.

any noteable battles in her trip with the Doctor?

For the record, Izzy's sexuality is never really a factor during her three volumes of adventures with the eighth Doctor. (The fourth volume, "The Flood," sees the Doctor without companions for the first half, and he has an alien companion, Destrii, for the last half.) The first hint of her sexuality comes in "Wormwood," and then it's not a factor until much later.

Compared to the EDAs, the Doctor Who Magazine comic strips were rather chaste, because they had to be.

just had a look at her on TARDIS wiki, if they ever bring back the 8th Doctor, she should be his companion.
