Poor Jeri Ryan

Jaespol

Captain
It really does seem like she musta had a pretty awful time on the set of Voyager.
Not only was she strapped into that uncomfortable catsuit but she had to put up with constant snide remarks from Mulgrew. Garret Wang said that if you see Jeri, its probably best not to ask her too much about Voyager since she spent most of the four years dodging abuse from Mulgrew hah.

What? Where on earth did you hear about that? From her DVD interviews, she said it was a lot of fun working on the Voy set..unless I missed something else. :wtf:

And you know all of that how?

I thought this was common knowledge?
She was understandably pissed off that Lien was leaving for some anti-feminised borgified playboy bunny to come on and change the whole show. You can tell when she talks about Jeri she didn't exactly love the idea at first.
I would be furious if I was her but then that's no reason to be rude.

Its about 85% thru the recording. Garret Wang talks about the atomosphere on set and how it got to the point where he wouldn't even want to go into work on the days Jeri and Kate were shooting together.
Its a very interesting recording. Unfortunately the interviewers talk too much and just as Wang is about to talk about Lien leaving the interviewers talk some crap and we don't get to hear, oh well.

Agree. On the DVD`s she said it was fun working on the set of Voyager.
I also remember a interview with Robert Beltran where he said that they all had a deep relationsship and that Jery is a person who you can talk with for hours.
This is also an intersting interview with Jery. She said it was fun.

Is that why he was always late and hung-over?

Well I already knew that Mulgrew was upset by Lien leaving and the idea of sexing up the show with Jeri Ryan. But I didn't know she was going out of her way to be unkind to Jeri while filming. There isn't any excuse for that. But who knows what the truth is? I don't know what kind of a guy Garret Wang is, or if he has an ax to grind, or whatever. Who knows? But yeah if it is true that is really lame and makes me think less of Mulgrew.

On the other side though, I'm sure Jeri dating one of the guys in charge of the show rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. That is also very unprofessional.

I thought it was common knowledge too. I've definately heard stories of a similar nature about Mulgrew. Apparently, she is well known for the diva behaviour.

I can't say I blame her entirely for being upset, but it's not too professional to take it out on the actor who is just brought in to do a job. I don't like the character Seven of Nine too much myself, but it wasn't really Jeri Ryans fault. She did well in the role, a very good actor. Well, in Voyager she was, I didn't see her in anything else.

I guess we may never know the whole truth.

I'm not sure how true this story was, but from the DVDs, Mulgrew did seem to have a bit of diva personality. I know there was some trouble on the set, at least with Beltran, but it seemed like Mulgrew and Ryan got along.

It is plausable that there has been some drama for awhile there.

Garrett seems to talk a lot of smack about Trek and Bermaga in this interview. He puts Beltran's comments in shame.

^I kind of forwarded ahead to when he talked about Berman being on the Set and the set comes on fire, and man Wang is angry. Almost wish I was a fly on the wall on some of these meetings.

I've always been one to say that while there were many faults in the later years of the Franchise, Berman did good work and I loved TNG. Also, he did executive produce DS9 too. Hearing this stuff I don't know what to believe now.

Garret Wang is rightfully pissed off as is Mulgrew. I frankly think they should have just let go of Garret Wang at the end of the third season. Not only did he behave badly but he really could not act, his character went nowhere.
I'm sure Jeri Ryan got on great with most of the crew on Voyager, I mean she does seem like an incredibly warm person, but when she had to film with Mulgrew, I'm sure it was a less than wonderful experience.

It is not very professional from Garrett's part to talk things like this in this manner either... hmmm....

I still have hard time believing that Mulgrew was pissed from season 4 to season 7. That is Garrett's perception of things.

I don't think Wang is anywhere near as good an impressionist as he thinks he is...I don't think his Picardo is very good tbh.
