Favorite battle moments in Star Trek?

I've always been partial to the scenes in TWOK. Just about everything else mentioned from DS 9 i would agree with. The remastered versions of TOS of the planet killer battle scene was very cool, as well as few of the scenes from the Ultimate Computer.

It was not an action-packed sequence, but I loved the shot in TWOK when Enterprise slowly rises behind Reliant, putting her right in her sights. Very exciting, none the less, and made a great, memorable moment.
Thats my choice too.
That's when Kirk demonstrated his own two-dimensional thinking, by bothering to get in Reliant's plane of motion instead of firing at her from below...:p

But I agree, it was fun to watch nevertheless.

The particular scene in Sacrifice of Angels where the Defiant is getting hammered as it tries to head through the opening...the Jem Hadar ships pounding her...and then green pulses of whoopass...Never say the Klingons aren't around when you need them.

That sounds really sexual how you just described all that...

So let me get this straight... you guys go on describing your favorite space battles and not one of you post a YouTube link to some footage. I hate you guys!

Ok, some of my favorites.

Enterprise Council Chase scene, so many phaser blast sound effects, there really aren't many sounds I love more

0.28 for the destruction of the Aquatics' ship

5.28 - FIRE!...to be..or not...to be , surely one of the best scenes in cinema history!

3;07 for Romulan Warbird's Wing hits Enterprise (no goods clips on youtube unfortunately!)

First Contact would been so freakin awesome if the whole film had been like that.
Alas, another wasted opportunity.

If you want me to plug my DS9 videos then all you had to do was ask. ;)

The best battles scenes are from Sacrifice of Angels which is a battle that no other Trek production has managed to rival in intensity, although Enterprise season 3 came close. The best bits are at 3:13 as the Starfleet ships begin to storm through, 5:41 when the Klingons show up and 7:10 when the Defiant makes her final push through the Dominion lines.

Since the thread doesn't specify space vs. ground battles, I have to nominate the final act of "The Siege of AR-558". Actually that entire DS9 episode provides an up-close-and-personal view of the brutality of ground combat, but Sisko and company withstanding the Jem'Hadar's final all-out assault on their position was one of the most haunting and unforgettable moments of any Trek series.

I really liked the various battles in "Year of Hell" from Voyager. The best bit was when one of the decks decompressed and it had a shot from the outside were people and debris were being blown out.

I loved the scene in FC when the Ent-E swoops in front of the Defiant and takes on the Borg cube. I play that over and over again.

Absolutely a winner, hands down.
Again, DS9 during the Dominion War has provided some of the best moments in Star Trek history in my opinion, mindblowing, both visually and as emotional impact.

This is a side of Star Trek that I always found missing: the perspective of the one fighting on the ground. I loved this episode, and for a moment I sincerly hoped there would have been more like it during the rest of DS9, but I'm afraid this remained a single pearl. Still, quite epic in itself.

Well, since you asked so nicely:

You'd have to wait awhile for my favorite moment (the big kaboom). The one downside about posting up whole sections rather than moments is that soon this thread turns into yet another Favorite Battles thread, rather than the intended Favorite Moments thread.

"We held, sir!"
