Best Troi Lines.

Red Ranger

Admiral
In Memoriam
I know Troi isn't the most popular TNG character, but I always liked her. She had some pretty funny lines at times.

My faves include:

-Don't recall the ep, but she's talking to Riker, and says something like, "I don't think I'm cut out to be captain. First officer, maybe. I understand there aren't many qualifications."

-In The Emissary, K'Ehylar has had an argument with Worf, she returns to her quarters and smashes the glass table. Troi walks in and they says the following:

TROI: You're upset.
K'EHYLAR: Your finely honed Betazed sense tell you that?
TROI: That, and the table.

In Captain's Holiday, Riker keeps needling Picard on taking a vacation, in particular emphasizing the qualities of Risian women.

RIKER: Have I mentioned how imaginative the Risian women are, Captain?
TROI: Too often, Commander.

Your turn!

The above is from DISASTER

I think it's from Descent. Can't remember the exact words but, to Data, something like: "If you do achieve your goal of becoming human, I can't believe you will become a bad one."

In Face of the Enemy, once Troi really got into her role impersonating a Tal Shiar, she had a great scene with N'Vek.

TROI: What we want is to get the dissidents to safety. Now answer the question. Is there a way?
N'VEK: If there were, I wouldn't do it.
TROI: Yes, you will.
N'VEK: Counsellor.
TROI: We're not playing it your way any more, N'Vek. I've been kidnapped, surgically altered, put in danger I've gone along with all your plans. Now you are going to listen to me. You find a way to let the Enterprise track us, or I will go to Toreth and tell her I've discovered you're a traitor. I'll order you ejected into space. Is that clear, Subcommander?

From The Loss:
"If our positions were reversed,
I wouldn't have been in here
treating skinned elbows while you
were passed out on your office
floor. I would have been there
a lot sooner... maybe in time to
prevent this before it ever
happened."

From Gambit part one:
"That's pretty selfish, Wil.
(a beat as Riker is
taken aback)
Do you think you're the only one
in pain? That you have a monopoly
on loss? Well, I've got news for
you. We're all hurting... we're
all angry. And like it or not,
you've got a responsibility to the
crew. You can't just indulge your
personal desire for revenge."

From Who Watches the Watchers:
They start to walk. Riker automatically takes the
lead. Troi stops him, moves in front of him. MOVE
with them as they walk.
TROI (cont'd)
(enjoying this)
For example, Mintakan women
precede their mates. It's a
signal to other women.
RIKER
"This man's taken; get your own?"
TROI
Not precisely... More like, "if
you want his services, I'm the
one to negotiate with."
RIKER
What kinds of "services?"
TROI
All kinds.
RIKER
(amused)
Ah. They are a sensible race.

I freakin loved her chastising Beverly here.
In fact I think she was hilarious throughout this entire episode, she was sarcastic and acerbic.

"Well, if you're still confused in the morning, you know where my office is."

-To Riker, in "Conundrum". I always loved that one.

Can't remember the episode, but I like this one:

Picard: "...This is starting to sound like a speech."
Troi: "You're the Captain, sir. You're entitled."

She had another good moment in Disaster when she stood up to Ro.

"We will separate the ship when I have decided that it's time, not before. Is that clear, Ensign?"

From Chain of Command pt one:
"The trouble with wolves is that
sometimes the fight for dominance
ends with one of them dead."

I love when people make fun of her empathic abilities in the show.
If you think about it, Troi was a bit of a hack.
