Swine flu, will it depress turnout?

So, the flu I caught yesterday, after eating some pork barbecue?...

...was actually something you probably caught about 24 to 48 hours before hand...

...also, if your symptoms are just intestinal discomfort and the runs...

...well... ...you don't really want me to go into how often people get sick from improper handling/cooking of pork...

Ohhhh.... There's just soooo many places I could go with that... :devil:

But I'll behave this once... :shifty:

please do... I've had too many co-workers (and my boss) behave like 12-year old boys already this morning :p

A thought just occurred to me.... If the Trekbbs members who plan to wear sombreros to the movie actually do it, they could affect the movie.

The media might mistake them for Mexicans and Mexico seems to be pretty bad as far as swine flu goes.
So people may not go see the movie to avoid contact with contaminated "Mexican" Trek fans.

:lol: :lol:

I could show up wearing a Sombrero, a Poncho, be eating Burritos, Taco's and be mumbling in Spanish, and I STILL wouldn't be mistaken as a Mexican...

<==Lilly-White, Irish, Honky-boy here... :guffaw:

Now, on the other hand, if I were coughing and sneezing... that's A DIFFERENT STORY... :lol:

Fuckin' hell, not this crap all over again. :scream:

Its the same old story that cropped up a few months back over the Irish pork.

I work in a butchers, the amount of old dears that come in the shop after hearing the news.

"Is the pork ok to eat?"

"Wheres the pork from?"

"Can i see your pork trace passports?"

FUCK. OFF.

To be honest, nothing has stopped the sales of our pork products. Its just the sqeemish old farts that dont believe you when you answer their damn questions. WHY. THE. FUCK. ASK?

Seriously, i doubt that this swine flu will piss on the Star Trek release. Unless they are serving pork rind glazed with lard instead of popcorn :lol:

Salvor Hardin:
Hey man, if the media say you are Mexican, you are Mexican.

The sombrero is all that matters.
* "Youre not Mexican?" :lol:

* For those who havnt seen Broken Lizards Super Troopers, the joke is wasted on you. ;)

Damn right - if they are sitting in front of me and I cant see I will probably beat them to death, not good publicity.

The swine flu might, if the media gets overzealous about not being in 'public' places, Wolverine/Star Trek, might feel some of that.
