Do they have "lane guns"?

I want to shoot a gun. I just want to know what it is like, how good of a shot I am without any training. But, obviously, I don't own a gun. Do I have to buy a gun to go shoot one at a range? Do they have guns there I can "rent" for use at the range?

If it's a well run quality range, they will have weapons for rent. Especially if the Range is part of a firearms store. In fact, the local Army Fort is having a retired military day for us tomorrow, with an open range so we can all blast the "enemy" silhouette targets again with old fashion 1960s M-14s.

I went to a shooting range in Toronto once, they let you take a weapon and fire off about 10-12 rounds just to see if you liked it and might be interested in joining the club, buying a gun, whatever. It's basically just a salesman's tool. I was handed a Glock 9mm, but I kept getting a chimney. I was told I had a strange arch in my wrist that didn't suit the Glock, my recoil kept chasing the shell out of the gun. They gave me what I think they called a Czechoslovakian P-9, and it was smooth sailing from there.

I discovered, that yes...it is about penis size. Have never been back.

There are ranges in Orlando and Vegas that will even rent machine guns.
