Star Trek XI Burger King Happy Meal figures/ships pics

now...if only they would film an awesome commercial for these toys that would equal the Spongebob/Sir Mixalot commercial.

Reportedly, the BK folks were on the ST set to film a commercial. Most likely, it will end up quite a cool looking ad.

See now...the KING wouldn't have allowed the Kelvin to be defeated! He's even more badass than Robau!

If the Kelvin was one bigass King Head and a single nacelle, we wouldn't have had to worry about the rest of the movie - anyone would run from that out of fear!

Part of me hopes there's a BK Easter Egg on the eventual Trek DVD this coming fall. Click on a certain feature and you get the King in command of the Enterprise.

HA! Robau could flame broil the King's ass any day of the week

They look pretty cool... For charicatures anyway.

The classic Trek equipment though is a little confusing. Will the kids get it, if they havnt seen TOS or anything.

Anyway, im hoping the UK will have the same promotion, we usually have shit promotions to plug movies, especially fast food outlets.

These toys use the same design template as the EPISODE III toys the chain sold at two different points in 2005. Oversized heads, tiny bodies, misshapen ship parts.

Yes they'll get it because this version is now "accessible" according to Mr. JJ.
Now this is something a tad ironic....in the original version Mr. JJ said that he couldn't relate or identify with anyone...therefore, the show was not "accessible" to him. I didn't know that relating/identifiying was a pre-requisite to view a program.....So here we are with still the same characters and same basic premise and I'm curious to see what's changed so much that suddenly these people will be accessible now? In essense I just think JJ really didn't think about his statement because it's completely asinine!

Photoshoppers, you have your assignment. For the big finish, the King should headbutt the Space Octopus.

Lucky me! A good friend of mine is manager of a Burger King, and he'll supply me with a complete set, free of charge. He also got me the entire "Simpsons" sets several years back...over a three year period...76 pieces in all.

That's great, because I would never waste a penny on such crappy toys. I mean, my god... the characters are all cartoon characters that look NOTHING like any of the actors... look at how silly Uhura looks... geez. And the ships... much like the ships in the film itself, it looks like NO effort went into any of these at all, except the Klingon ship, if even that.

I love Burger King's food, but man... now I know what toys to get kids for X-Mas, if there are no lumps of coal left.

what happened to your King ava?

Haven't decided on/picked a really good new one yet. And I don't have any acceptable ones I want to use in my computer folder here at home. I have a pic at my BBS member home page, though, so it's not like I don't use one. Just not as an avatar at the moment.
