The Importance of Rain (being spoiled in the theater line)

One thing I hope? That people who are waiting in line, who have already scene the movie, don't start talking about the movie, either with a friend, or some moron on their cellphone, and spoil the plot and events.

When I went to see Fight Club, years ago, some assbite in line totally gave up the ending of the movie while talking on his cellphone. Needless to say, I wanted him to die. God must have heard my request because some big dude in line behind him started yelling at him, they got in a fight, and the dude on the cellphone got his butt kicked right in front of the. Did I take some joy in seeing him get punched a few times? Well...the name of the fricking movie should have been a warning to the bozo that he was in line with a bunch of fools (like me) wanted to see some fighting (in the movie of course)...

They should hire big bouncers to patrol the TREK XI lines to keep people in check. If you spoil anything...well...FIGHT CLUB baby...Just don't rain on my parade!!

And the title of this thread has what to do with the subject?

It's this cryptic thing that Rob does. I think it's supposed to be literary or something, but it's mostly sort of annoying.

Edit:

I've amended the title.

Don't rain on my parade sort of thingamajigaroonio....

Anyhoo, I have a confession...I did this very same thing after Search for Spock....tee hee....

But cut me some slack on this one...I was only 12-13 -- what a little shit right??!! But you see I haven't changed much LOL :guffaw:

Rosie O'Donnell ruined Fight Club for me.

One time I went to a Schwarzenegger movie (not Terminator) with my family and we ran into someone my parents knew. When we told him what movie we were going to see, the first thing he said was, "Schwarzenegger dies in it."

I might have to employ the old fingers in the ears and humming trick if someone starts yaking about the movie around me in line.

reminds me of the simpsons ep whre Homer and Marriage are walking out of ESB

"WOW What an ending! Who'd a though Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker's father!"

I have never been bothered by knowing the ending of the movie, or of the book or anything else. If the ending was all that was important, I would just skip to that part. Besides, in any good movie you'll have an inkling of how the whole thing is going to go down about halfway through.

Casablanca: You knew Rick would help the girl escape. You didn't know he would shoot the nazi, but then, someone had to kill him, right?

If the ending comes as a complete surprise then usually it isn't a very good movie. There are, of course, exceptions.

On another note, I have never had this happen to me, where someone in line spoils the ending of the movie. I have heard comedians talking about it, so... I wonder how often it really happens.
