How Young Would You Date?

I guess it all depends on how old you are, otherwise choosing a number between 1 and 50 seems fairly pointless

Seriously, I put very different limits for dating and shagging. While I would not object to jumping into the sack with some 18 years old college girl, I'm quite sure I wouldn't want to talk to them.

I already don't have anything in common with 18 year olds, and would definitely not have anything in common with them when I am 30.

If I were not married, I'd date a girl of any age as long as we shared mutual interests, attraction, and she was mature.

For purposes of the poll, I picked "18".

By the way I am 35 so if I followed the "Age in half and add 7" rule, I'd target a girl who was 24 or 25.

I'm 27 and married. However if I was single, the youngest I would date would be 18. As long as the girl is mature and its legal, I don't see a problem.

I'd say 18 -- it's a nice, solid number. As long as they're out of high school... and they would have to be a reasonably mature 18 as well.

Oh, and I'm 25.

I'm 55, and I voted 35. I don't think there'd be too great a difference in "life experiences" at that point. Once you reach a certain age, your life is about job, career, day to day life. Our conversation wouldn't be like

Me: "Wow, the Dead were awesome."
Her: "The dead what?"

It would more likely be about what happened at work, what you like to do on your days off, etc.

I believe that the older you become, so the magnitude of the age difference becomes not as important as the memories and maturity of the partner you date.

At least that's my excuse.
