Two New Exclusive Clips - MTV and Yahoo! Movies

Cool. Dr. Mcoy seems suitably in character - looks like Urban and the rest of the team have done their homework. I no longer have any reservations about him.

I'm not 100% sold on the others as yet, though Kirk is certainly cocky, though a little crude at this point. Pegg just seems like Pegg, I'll have to see more of him before I can fully accept him as Scotty.

Spock seems angry! It's not too far removed from Ensign Spock of The Cage I guess. All shouty and emotional.

I'm happy to hear the original bridge effects in the background.

OMG! Try this little experiment! (McCoy Clip)

Watching the clip of McCoy and Kirk in the shuttle I though "damn Urban sounds like Kelly!" So what I did was closed my eyes and just listened to it. I swear when I did that I got chills. I pictured DeForest doing Urban's dialog. It truely was erie! Give it a go. It won't disappoint! I haven't really been able to get that from any of the other characters yet, but McCoy is spot on!

Re: NEW CLIP-"Shot Of Love"-Kirk & Uhura (Chris Pine & Zoe Saldana)

The Starfleeters, Uhura included, seem unreasonably dismissive of Kirk just because he's a local. Seems unnatural for members of Starfleet to be that rude.

Good clip otherwise.

In other words, they're acting like real people rather than the touchy-feely type as portrayed in TOS, correct? That's one reason why DS9 strikes a chord with certain fans, because it's how people actually are and would be.

Why? Are they in the Boy Scouts?

In fact, Uhura is "dismissive" of Kirk because he's an inebriated stranger who's making a pass at her. Her fellow cadets are intimidating toward him for the same reason - and then he insults them.

All seems very natural to me. Happens every day.

I'm sorry but Kirk really comes across as a smug prat in love with himself. And I'm supposed to be rooting for this guy:wtf:
