jptrekker, your sombrero curls up on the edges in a way that makes them look like Spock ears!

    That's fantastic! :techman:

For what it's worth, I wore a sombrero during all five days of last year's Comic-Con, and it was no trouble at all.

I plan to wear one to the theater on opening night.

No, of course I'm not going to wear it during the movie.

Sombreros are very flexible. You can fold one in half, place it on your lap or under your chair, and it will pop right back into shape after the movie.

There's no excuse not to wear one, really.

I always thought the alien at the end of CLOSE ENCOUNTERS would be even cooler with a sombrero.

I am sorry to hear that you are under the weather. I am almost over an acute case of bronchitis.
I love your signature line quote. "Never give up. Never surrender!" has become our family motto.:techman:

If we work hard enough, TREK XII can have a Mexican theme and lots of headgear! Dammit. Obama said it. "Yes, We CAN!"

You can use this version if you want, but I reserve the right to use it as well in the future

    :)

sorry though you are under the weather.
i have a chronic respitatory illness so know how that stuff sucks.
    take care of yourself.
    :)

i havent talked about this much outside of the admirals lounge but last
winter i went through a rough time with the loss of some one close to me/.

while my friends out here in the physical world played a very important part
in my getting through it, places here like the admirals lounge also were a big help.

and having this thread to come too was a bright spot.
thanks to everyone who has made this thread a special funhouse place to hang.
    :)

    And hello to you too!

I think I have convinced Mr. kathryn i am to wear a sombrero with me when we go - I'm wondering if anyone else will be wearing one; we live in a fairly small community... maybe some of you live here too :D
