Hm, maybe. I'm thinking about emailing them or something to find out. I mean, if it IS a measure against bandwidth theft (or something along those lines), then that's fine. I won't raise a stink about it or anything. But I'm curious, and I do want to make sure it's not something that isn't supposed to be happening (and thus, could potentially be fixed), cause having that screencap archive is really nice, and not being able to just go "Oh yeah, that was a great scene/ep/moment/whatever! (links image)" during conversations is kind of a bummer.I suppose it's a measure against bandwidth theft.EDIT: By the way... a thread about screencaps seemed to be a good place for this. I used to use TrekCore to link friends to images over IM when discussing a particular scene or ep or whatever. Suddenly, links to the actual images sent over IM seem to produce nothing but "403 Forbidden" screens for all of us. Has anyone else had this problem?
A test; does this work: http://tng.trekcore.com/gallery/albums/s2/2x21/peakperformance001.jpgHm, maybe. I'm thinking about emailing them or something to find out. Hmmmmm... now this is strange. When I clicked on the link you provided, it indeed worked. So I sent it to my buddy over IM, and he got an error page.A test; does this work: http://tng.trekcore.com/gallery/albums/s2/2x21/peakperformance001.jpg
EDIT: Yeah, it works for me. No error message there.
No worries Lead. I appreciate the concern.^ Quality of life is correct. Sorry, but i'm no help with your image problem.![]()
AIM mostly. On my Mac, I use Adium as my chat program, though it's still through the AIM service. I also have a GTalk account. I'll try both of those at some point just to see what happens. This whole thing is very strange. lolHm, which Instant Messenger do you use, Saito S?
Hm, unfortunately I have no experience with those Instant Messengers. It's one possibily that your IM program somehow scrambles the URL while you're posting it. Is the URL that gets posted to your correspondence really the one you inserted? Also, does that only happen with links to images from TrekCore.com?AIM mostly.
