How large is your music library?

I'll delete songs I'm embarrassed I owned, but that's about it (and I don't even delete all that, I have frickin' Smash Mouth songs on my computer after all). I figure if, for some reason, I don't play a song, I can always leave it there in case someone else wants to listen to it.

Smash Mouth?!?
I think i can beat that in "guilty pleasure" music wise...
I have this as mp3:
Una Paloma Blance

OK, you win

Okay, I suppose I should have specified anything from American Top 40. :rommie:

Bah! I'll win any 70s contest.

Name something. I probably have it. :D

Do you have any Alan Parsons Project or Hollies?

If the former: What's your favorite version of Tales Of Mystery And Imagination? :)

I actually had no idea that was a real song. I remember the old "Buh-Weet Sings" SNL sketch and the crowd just roared with laughter when Eddie Murphy goes "Una Panoonah Banka..." I had no idea what they meant!

Sure. I have "I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You" by Alan Parsons and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" and "Air That I Breathe" by The Hollies. I might have one other Hollies song, too.

I had never even heard of this! Judging from what I just read, I'd probably like the original better, although I also love Orson Welles. There's a set available with both albums and I just put it in my Shopping Cart at Amazon. Thanks for the tip. :bolian:

Glad to be of service. :)

If you got the one with both the '76 and '87 versions in one package, you must have got the Deluxe Edition, then. It's got the most additional material of all of them (in the past couple of years, every APP album has gotten the 'special edition' treatment). It has some pretty interesting tracks, such as (this is one of my favorite song titles of all time) "Sea Lions In The Departure Lounge." :guffaw:

I have about 250 albums, with a total of about 2,340 songs. The genres range from country to pop to rock and movie scores/soundtracks.

I have a 500GB drive 91% full. All types... Classical, Soundtracks, Rock, Country, Cajun-Zydeco, Hair Metal and Punk, with a small amount of Snoop thrown in for good measure.

Yup, it's this one (if you know of anymore even more Deluxe, let me know). I'm looking forward to hearing it.

Do you own Casey Kasem then? :bolian:
Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure I have some recordings that include Casey; I can't think of what at the moment, though.

I have that in my collection! :techman:

Do you have this one?? I thought I was the only one who remembered it until I found it again on youtube!
Oh, I do indeed. I love that song. In fact, I was just listening to it a couple of days ago.

How about Romeo and Juliet? or any Meco? :p
You've stumped me with "Romeo And Juliet." That doesn't even sound familiar. And I might have that disco version of the Star Wars theme by Meco, but I'm not sure; I'd have to check my portable drive.

That was the loongggg version of R&J. Didn't get a lot of radio play. My sister would play the record a lot.

I loved Cherchez La Femme as a kid. Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band had a great mix of swing and disco there!

I have Disco Star Wars and Disco Close Encounters by Meco on my player. And today, I downloaded a lot of songs from amazon.com- some Donna Summer (shut up! :p), Village People (shut up!!!), and some other fun stuff. The 70's were fun.

The 70s were great, especially the mid-70s; 1975 was probably the best year for music in my life. :)

I don't have any Village People, but I have some Donna Summer. I have "Love To Love You, Baby" and, from the 80s, "On The Radio" (I love the line "it must have fallen out of a hole in your old brown overcoat.")

Oh yeah, it was a big hit...
I got it from one of those greatest hits of the 70s compilations...
Got some other songs from it as well that i liked...
Including All Around My Hat
