Most of them ripped from CDs I own, although a few albums I bought from Apple's iTunes Store (I only do that with albums that aren't available on CD at all).

In my MP3 folder, I've got somewhere in the vicinity of 1100 songs. Most of my music is still on some physical medium (yeah, a hard drive is physical-- you know what I mean ). I've got hundreds of CDs and cassettes (and probably about a dozen 8-Tracks and about three LPs packed away somewhere). I've also got a folder of old TV show themes in WAV format, but I forget how many; several dozen, I guess.

I used to have about 4GB on my old computer, but this has now been whittled down to about 2GB... these are songs I listen to frequently. I don't download entire albums for example, of which I'll like all of two songs, perhaps. I don't like searching through too much so-so material.
