With cuts to get a 12 rating.

It showed on the BBFC website last week as an uncut 15, but then on Tuesday... The distributors have gone for the "let the kiddies in to ruin it for everybody" rating

Nope

THough apparently the cut is to a close-up of somebody's mangled face after having smashed into a wall. And not the actual smashing it into the wall.

I heard that elsewhere today as well.
Be curious to see how they work that.

I'll be seeing it tomorrow night with my girl. She is really excited for it.

Vin Diesel's return to the franchise will get me to watch this this weekend.

It's going to be noisy and pointless but sure to be fun! It certainly can't be as made of crap and fail like Tokyo Drift was.

Hence the return of the so called original parts an the initial trailers looking like the hijack scenes of the original movie.

Oh, I don't mind then, I'm not fond of gore and as long as the cut doesn't really affect the movie, I'm fine with it.

Just got back from seeing this.

Exactly what I expected. Loud, nonsensical, stupid and a whole lot of fun.

Seriously, go into it not expecting much and leave your brain in the car because not a single action scene in this movie makes a lick of sense even with the most forgiving of movie physics.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are warmly welcomed back to this frachise and near as I figure this is the "real" sequel to the first movie.

My thoughts exactly. Afterward I explained to my gf that it fulfilled all the basic "FATF" required elements which include:

  • Car chases with tricked out vehicles.
  • Macho posturing.
  • One liners by at least two male leads.
  • A shot of a woman getting out of a car with the camera focused on her ass leading to her legs or some variation thereof.
  • Either full on or implied lesbian activity.
  • Characters "defying authority".
Much to my delight, every single one of these was present in this movie. :techman:

I took my 19 year old son late last night...we liked it. And I have always had my eye on Jordan Brewster, ever since I saw her in the Faculty, or whatever it was she was in..she is very nice to look at..

And it was good seeing Vin Diesal again. I think the guy has presence and can, if he gets a chance, become the 'action' dude of his time.

And..yes..I did like it better than NEMESIS. So another movie to add to my list of movies I liked better than Nemesis.
