Do the Jedi have any rules against using poisons? If not, they might be able to take out some Vorlons using certain chemical weapons.

Right, and Batman could beat the Jedi and the Vorlons if he had enough time to prepare!

There are rules to these contests, and deux ex machinas like imaginary poisons and weapons they could create don't count.

The Vorlons would crush the Jedi, the Empire, pretty much 95% of the powers we've seen in mainstream sci-fi. They're one step down from beings like the Q and Organians biologically speaking, and their bio-tech seems at least on par with 8472 and the Yuuzhan Vong.

These questions are always hard to discuss without hard numbers. When you say "the Jedi" what do you mean? 1 on 1? 1000 vs 1000? The entire Vorlon Empire versus the Alliance? How big are each of them?

It's like the Ancients vs the Wraith on Stargate. The Ancients were clearly technologically and militarily superior to the Wraith, but they simply couldn't hold out forever.
