For your review I present the USS Arthur Radford FFG-968.
    Highlights:

    Movie era
    Perimeter action Frigate
Registry is my anniversary and the name comes from USN DD-968
Small, fast and packs a punch
Assembled from parts of the very nice toolkit here(I believe that's Vance's page?)

This is my first post to the board. I've been lurking for about 2 months now and am a fan of a lot of the work I see here and thought I'd throw my own out there. I plan on redrawing this into AutoCAD, then modeling it and finally knocking out a complete set of deck plans. This is a long term project so don't expect anything over night. I welcome constructive criticism and questions.

normally i'm not a fan of the mini saucer and 2ndry hull but i have to admit i like it
just out of intreast why is there two deflector dishes? i'd be inclinced to dump the one in the 2ndry hull maybe add a torpedo tube or two

That's a good question. It's an artifact from the source saucer. I didn't want to redrawn either the Fore view of the saucer or the Port view of the Secondary hull as I'm not that good with Photoshop. I didn't add anymore torpedoes there as that would just get to a ridiculous number for such a small hull. When I redraw it in CAD I'm going to obsolete this drawing and rectify the doubled deflectors. Perhaps I'd fair the lower hull up into the saucer or just dump the saucer deflector. I'll have to see what looks better. For now let's just say the upper one is a long ranger targeting array for the torpedo launchers ;). I do have an idea for a sister class that mounts a larger phaser cannon in that location and loses the upper torpedo pod.

Thank you. I like his toolkit, it's very handy.

Looks good! I'd suggest crediting Vance for his toolkit parts on the actual image of the starship itself.

No one says you have to use Tookit parts "off the rack." You can do a surgical Copy And Paste. Start with the Small Saucer Hull from Toolkit Freebies 11 (Image 1), then go to the Small Saucer Hull from Toolkit Freebies 10 (Image 2). Copy and Paste the section below the Saucer Rim to get Image 3. A few more minor tweaks, and you wind up with Image 4...

Ya know I it never hit me to try that. I guess I was so fixated on the cutout for the torpedoes that I never noticed the other saucer. I'm going to do that when I get back in town Sunday night. Thanks for the idea. At this rate I'll have more credits than ship

Credits? What are you going to put for credits?

    "Tweaked by therealfoxbat?"

We'd all be in real trouble if everyone who did a Copy And Paste on someone else's work wanted Tweak Credits...

Ok I've made the tweak that Therealfoxbat suggested. It looks better now. Thanks for that tip.
